Sox vs Yankees [Aug. 15th, 2006|04:45 pm]
Red Sox Baseball

I'm collecting stories about Fenway Park on a little Place Blog, sort of like a scrapbook. Anybody can add whatever they want to it. Stories, pictures, even videos. My friend from New York is doing the same for Yankee Stadium. If you've been to Fenway, please contribute to the collection.

If you'd like to see how the Yankee Stadium Place blog is looking, go ahead and a click here to check it out

(We can totally do better than that)

I've see the rocket [Jun. 22nd, 2006|11:03 pm]
Red Sox Baseball

I saw Roger Clemens pitch 5 innings this evening Live and in person at Minute Maid Park.

I'm glad to have seen him. I have a complete score card, a ticket stub and a "Return of the Rocket" poster.

I am, however, glad that that Red Sox did not spend the dough.

BallPark Travels [Jun. 21st, 2006|09:08 am]
Red Sox Baseball

I went to see the Astros last night at Minute Maid park. It is a nice modern ballpark. I must admit I'm still a little iffy about watching a baseball game indoors. The dome was closed to keep the airconditioning in and because showers were threatening. The left, and center outfield have large windows so you can at least ~see~ the outdoors, but climate controlled baseball? Not so sure about that.

Decent seats were to be had at the walk-up window and the concessions are nice, if overpriced. $9.00 for a large Shiner Bock.

Thursday, I have a SRO ticket to see Roger Clemens. I never saw him in Boston. I'll stand to see a hall of famer in (perhaps) his last season.

Locker room excitement [Apr. 23rd, 2006|07:51 pm]
Red Sox Baseball

[mood |curiouscurious]

I was amused that during the postgame show Locker Room Uncut with Varitek, there seemed to be a large amount of screaming going on in the locker room, to the point that even Jason was looking over with a "WTF" look on his face.

I didn't watch the rest of Extra Innings, and so I was wondering if anyone knew why exactly there was a lot of screaming going on, or if it was just general excitement.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Boston Red Sox

Lily, 0-0, 11.57 VS. Clement, 1-0, 5.14

Is this game going to be like another batting practice for the Blue Jays?
Lets hope not...

Hi everyone!

I dont live in Boston but I used to when I was little. I am still in love with the red sox, the bruins, and the celtics (cant say the same for the patriots). Currently I'm living in Houston but i always go to Boston during the summer.. especially for the sox's games. So anywho, glad there's a red sox group!
